In the Pits Media was founded in April 1998 under the name” In the Pits-racing radio” and owned by Performance Motorsports Marketing.

Our mission has remained consistent over the last 24 years. We are foremost a motorsports marketing and promotions company located at the intersection of Racing and Commerce. We create Marketing in Motion for our partners.

What started out on a small AM Station in Leesburg, Virginia in 2001, then quickly grew to a nationally syndicated FM broadcast on the CBS Fan Network and then eventually on ESPN. Veteran motorsports journalists- Craig Murto and Dave Reininger were joined by drag racer extraordinaire Johnn Rocca and we were literally off to the races- covering as many as 700 races each year.

We are Racers talking Racing, over 1200 radio broadcasts featuring interviews with thousands of racing personalities, we cover it all. International Series to local tracks, manufacturers as well as Team owners, Drivers as well as Crew Member.

In the Pits is an accredited automotive media outlet in every form of vehicle racing- worldwide. We also are event organizers and work with many charities. We are involved in Radio, Internet, Print and TV media.

In 2019, we relocated from the Washington DC metropolitan area to the Beach – Myrtle Beach.  The show now has a more updated focus       not only Racing but Rodding with a little Rock n Roll mixed in (the 3R’s)

Our on-air crew now consists of veteran NASCAR journalist- Mike Neff; veteran Funny Car owner- crew member Al Liebmann and East Coast Artie Schilling- “Pin Striper to the stars”. Larry O’Donohue has remained the host from its first airing on February 18, 2001

In the Pits now airs on Hot Talk 99.5 FM from Noon til 2:00PM every Saturday and the audio can be heard from our website- www.inthepitsmedia.com as well as on our TV partner- Wingding TV
