Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) can be considered by many as the little brother of NASCAR. Formed in 1953, ARCA is a stock car sanctioning body that races American style stock cars as well as Late Models and Trucks throughout the United States. The "ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards" is the premier division and in many cases, former NASCAR Cup cars are used for competition on short, intermediate and Super speedway ovals. ARCA's top series also competes on the 1 mile dirt tracks at The Illinois State Fairground and DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. More recently ARCA cars can be seen turning both directions holding events at New Jersey Motorsports park and Road America. Drivers in ARCA range from hobbyist, development drivers for high level teams as well as established professional drivers and seasoned race veterans.
